Elizabeth "Pilar" Fletcher

Elizabeth "Pilar" Fletcher, 50, of North Canal Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 at her home. Cremation has taken place and there will be no public services at this time. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Elizabeth "Pilar" Fletcher was born November 24, 1964 in Brownville, Texas. She graduated from Duchesne Academy in Houston, Texas and attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. Pilar worked as a chef on a charter yacht which she dearly loved. She was active in the US Pony Club and sailing. Her favorite memories were the time spent with her daughter, Cece, on the beaches of Florida and the Caribbean. She is survived by her daughter, Celia Jewel Fletcher; mother, Celia Jones; father, Luis Armando Alvarez; companion, Dan Janish; brothers: Luis, Walter; sisters: Melanie, Sasha, Ingrid, Kathrin and numerous neices and nephews.
