Elizabeth "Daisy" Collins

Elizabeth (Daisy) Collins, 65, of Malaga, NM, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022 in El Paso, Texas. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, June 13, 2022 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Jones officiating.

Daisy was born November 21, 1956 in Carlsbad, NM to Harry F. Bruce and Marina A. Collins. She loved her Green Bay Packers. Daisy was the true meaning of a football fan and Cheesehead.  If you ever got the pleasure to watch a game with her or experience her pregame rituals you got to witness her big beautiful smile and the funniest part of her with her cheers, dancing and yelling.

Daisy had the biggest heart for dogs and tried to save as many as she could. She took great pride in her job and was so proud of her accomplishments there. As one of her last selfless acts she chose to donate her organs for science and research.  With this choice she hoped it would help with a cure or better treatments of her illnesses so that others may be able to live a pain-free life.

Daisy was preceded in death by her father, Harry F. Bruce Collins; mother, Marina Collins; sisters: Elaine Collins, Ernestine Grover; brother, Edwin Collins.

Survivors are her children: Erika Harrington and spouse, Chad, Donavon Montoya, Carl Hawkins and Patrick Hawkins and spouse, Alex; grandchildren: Cassidy Montoya, Taylor Harrington, Alexis Harrington, CJ Harrington, JaLyn Miller, Taryn Chacon, Kathryn Montoya, Karyn Montoya, Luc Hawkins, Izzy Hawkins; great-grandchildren: Elaine Calderon, Evelynn Calderon, Bentley Smith, I’Keen Chacon-Methola; siblings: Efren Collins and spouse, Zulema, Harry Collins, Jr., Emily Collins-Navarrete, Effie Brendle and numerous nieces and nephews.

Our mom, Mima, sister, Aunt and friend is no longer in pain. She fought long and so hard. We will miss seeing those big beautiful eyes and all the laughter she brought to us all.
