Elisa "Lisa" Navarrette

Elisa "Lisa" Navarrette, 49, of Crabb Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Covenant Medical Center, Lubbock, Texas. Visitation will be 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 10, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Oasis Christian Fellowship. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Elisa "Lisa" Navarrette was born June 20, 1966 in Carlsbad, NM to Juan V. and Teresa (Sosa) Franco. She married Steve L. Huereque, who passed away in 2002. Later, Lisa married LeRoy Navarrette. She absolutely loved spending time with her family and friends. Lisa was known for her infectious smile and laugh. She enjoyed cooking, singing and dancing. Lisa will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her mother and husband, Steve L. Huereque. Survivors are her husband, LeRoy Navarrette of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Stephanie Huereque of Carlsbad, NM; sons: Steven Huereque, Jr. of Carlsbad, NM, Brian Huereque of Carlsbad, NM; father, Juan Franco and wife, Mary of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Steven Xavier Huereque and Steven Jaiden Huereque; siblings: Miranda Franco, John Franco, Gina Franco, Lionel Franco; step-brother, Manuel Carillo; step-sister, Mary Carillo and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Albert Silvas, Sammy Silvas, Saul Ray Sanchez, Jessie Sosa, Octavio Murillo, Bobby Franco, Rick Franco and Andy Franco.
