Eleanor D. Baker

Eleanor D. Baker, 80, of West Pierce Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away October 27, 2012 at Lakeview Christian Home. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, November 2, 2012, 1:30 PM, at Carlsbad Cemetery (old section). Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Eleanor D. Baker was born July 28, 1932 in Ozona, Texas to Elmer and Verda (Willis) Doran. She attended schools in Ozona, TX and in 1945 moved to Carlsbad with her family and attended Junior High and Senior High Schools. Eleanor married Norvell Baker on August 15, 1957 in Roswell, New Mexico. Norvell's job moved them to various places in Texas from El Paso to Corpus Christy. They returned to Carlsbad in 1970, purchased a home and remodeled it. She enjoyed raising house plants and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
