Edward Dutchover Razo

Edward "Ed" Dutchover Razo left this world on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the age of 83, to be joined with God, his loving wife, Margie, family and friends. He was the son of Vivan and Margaret Razo, and born in Ft. Davis, Texas. Ed began working at the age of 12 in grocery retail where he worked for many years. He also worked for Frito-Lay and Archway. Ed became an insurance agent and eventually started his own business as a bail bondsman. He loved people and 'shooting the breeze' with his friends. Ed was a hard worker and went to work everyday until he became ill. Ed loved to go deer hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He was an avid boxing fan. He loved going to the casinos "when he felt lucky". Ed was a good man and father. You could always count on him when needed. He was preceded in death by his parents: Vivan and Margaret Razo; his wife, Margie; daughter, Debbie Carrasco and brother, William Razo. He is survived by daughter, Patricia Razo and her daughter, Vivian Delgado; daughter, Robin Martinez and husband, Rudy and their children: Jessica Minner, Mark Anthony Guevara, Bryan and Kyle Martinez; son, Mark Razo and children: Jennifer Razo, Lindsey, Ryan and Halle Razo; son, Rory Razo and children: Joshua Razo and Patrick Razo and grandchildren: Kristal Martinez Kerhman and Adam Molinar. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers are Mark and Rory Razo. Pallbearers will be Joshua Razo, Bryan Martinez, Kyle Martinez, Rudy Martinez, Ryan Razo, Armando Delgado, John Minner and George McCall. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and kind words. Our hearts are broken. Visitation will be 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A vigil will follow at 6:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 3, 2017 at St. Edward Catholic Church with Fr. Pasala Hruday Kumar officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
