Edward D. Hale, 89, of Amber Dr. Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away July 23, 2016 at his home.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ken Engledow officiating.
Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Edward D. Hale was born August 3, 1926 in Oklahoma City, OK to Vance and Floy A. Hale. Edward served in the U.S. Army during WWII . He then worked as a carpenter for many years until moving to Carlsbad in 1952. He went to work in the Potash mines upon moving to Carlsbad where he worked until retiring in 1988. Edward loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisher. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist church and his passionate faith in God was plain to see to all who knew him.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, wife of over 50 years Coleen Hale, children Jerald and Monte Cranford, and grandchildren Stacey, Pennie, and Jeff.
Survivors are Terrel Williams, Athena and Tessa Jiron, and Zach Holmes of the family home; children: Richard Hale and wife, Jody of Coyle, Oklahoma, Ed Hale and wife, Ann of Norman, Oklahoma, Billie Pettey and husband, GC III of Flint Texas, and Joanne Moore and husband, Jack of Alvarado, Texas; grandchildren: Carol, Matt, Rylie, Jason, Blake, Katrina, Jeff, Scott, Brett, Dustin, Jason, Tonya, Amanda, Jerald, Debbie, Dorthy, Dale, Joe, Cindy, Lisa, Shelly, Kevin, Karen, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Jason, Michael, Meshach, Micaiah Williams, Zach Holmes, and Scott Hale.
