Dr. Ronald Jones

Dr. Ronald Jones, 79, of Ridge Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away March 9, 2017 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Monday, March 20, 2017, 10:30 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Interment will take place at 3:00 PM, Monday, March 20, 2017 in Queen Cemetery, Queen, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Dr. Ronald Jones was born November 26, 1937 in Lorain, Ohio to Earle and Elizabeth (Marshall) Jones. He moved to Hobbs in 1987 then moved to Taos before coming to Carlsbad in 2001. He built a log home in Queen and enjoyed his retirement. Ronald became a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he was an elder. He also enjoyed golfing. Ronald attended medical school at Ohio State and did his residency at North Western University in Chicago and a pediatric fellowship at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago. He retired from the US Navy. Survivors are his wife, Judith Jones of Carlsbad, NM; daughters, Jennifer Jones of Los Angeles, CA, Jacqueline Causby of Nebo, NC, Rhonda Rosefar of Michigan; 5 grandchildren: Nicole Smith, Jason Causby, Drew Causby, Luke Rosefar and Ethan Rosefar and 5 great-grandchildren.
