Dr. E.Z. Robinson, 99, of Tracy Place, Carlsbad, NM passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Carlsbad Medical Center.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place Wednesday, December 2, 2015, 2:00 PM, at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park.

E.Z. was born on a ranch in Mora County, New Mexico August 3, 1916 to Elmer and Elizabeth Robinson. The family moved to Springer, NM in 1922 where he graduated from high school in 1934. E.Z. was a member of the Methodist Church. He was employed by the AT & SF Railroad as a clerk operator until he enlisted in the US Navy Submarine Service in 1942, serving in the Pacific Theatre. E.Z. was discharged in September 1945. He and Velta Gene Broadhead were married in the St. James Methodist Church Chapel in Chicago, Illinois on January 30, 1947, where EZ was a student at Northern Illinois College of Optometry. He opened his Optometry practice in Carlsbad, NM in 1949 and sold the practice in 1969. He later practiced in Gallup, NM for a number of years and retired in 1977. E.Z. was a life member of both the American Optometry Association and the State Association. He was a member of Eddy Lodge #21 AF & AM, past president of Carlsbad Rotary Club and past member of Elks Lodge #1558. He is survived by a number of nephews. E.Z. was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Velta Robinson.
