Dorothy “Dot” Perkowski passed away July 28, 2021 at her home. There will be no visitation, cremation will take place. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at St. Edward Catholic Church with Fr. Hruday Kumar Pasala officiating.

Dorothy “Dot” Perkowski was born in Albuquerque, NM to Frank and Lena (Garcia) Gonzales. She graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School. Dorothy joined the Order of Sisters of Charity in Cincinnati, Ohio. After leaving the Order, she married Gary Perkowski June 3, 1974 and moved to Carlsbad in 1976. Dorothy taught school 45 years before retiring. She served on many boards and community projects throughout the years and always enjoyed representing Carlsbad as First Lady. Dorothy was an active and faithful member of St. Edward Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors are her husband, Gary L. Perkowski; brother, Bert Gonzales and wife, Bobbie; sister-in-law, Lisa Perkowski and Jo Givens and several nieces and nephews.
