Dorothy Mayoros, 86, of North James Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 at Landsun Homes.
There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, January 18, 2014, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home with Rev. John A. Burke officiating.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Dorothy Mayoros was born November 20, 1927 in Rivesville, West Virginia to Bacel and Oletah (Dean) Kaminskey. She married Billy Mayoros on October 5, 1946. Dorothy worked for Safeway for 30 years. For 20 years she helped with Deliver Meals at Landsun Homes. She was a life member of B.P.O. Does. Dorothy loved to do ceramics and loved to watch her grandchildren grow up. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Billy Mayoros, Sr.
Survivors are two sons: Billy Mayoros, Jr. of Carlsbad, NM, Bobby Mayoros of Aurora, Colorado; daughter, Kathy Temple and husband, Harley of Carlsbad, NM; brother, Bacel Kaminskey, Jr. of Ohio; sister, Virginia Burgin of Carlsbad, NM; four grandchildren: Brian Temple and wife, Jenn of Phoenix, AZ, Robby Mayoros of Parker, Colorado, Haley Temple and Angel Mendoza of Carlsbad, NM, Cody Lewis and husband, Quentin of Aurora, Colorado; 11 great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Donna Zaffer of Aurora, Colorado.
