Obituary Donald Jay Franklin passed away in Carlsbad NM on Friday, February28, 2020, after a brief illness. Donnie was born in Albuquerque, NM on August 28, 1959. He then spent his childhood and grew up in Bayard, NM and attended Cobre High School. Donnie made his home in Carlsbad,NM for the past 2 yearsworking for Komatsu Southwest. Donniewas preceded in death by his parents, Artand Rosemary Franklin. Donnieis survived by his son, Brice Franklin of Albuquerque;brother Art (Lisa) Franklin of Hobbs;brother Benny Franklin of Silver City;sister Shelly (John) Monk of Roswell; and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved like his own. Visitation is scheduled for 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Watsonofficiating. Following will be interment at Carlsbad Cemetery In Carlsbad, NM.
