Donna Jo Mason

Donna Jo Mason, 57, of Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away November 3, 2023.

Donna was born in Columbia, Missouri, on April 1, 1966. At the age of 12, she moved to Roswell, NM. Donna came to love Carlsbad and thought of it as home. She loved to be with her kids, grandkids, and family.  She enjoyed BBQs, cooking, dancing, diamond art, crocheting blankets and scarves for family and friends. Donna also enjoyed listening to good music and driving to the beach to stick her feet in the sand and feel the ocean breeze on her face. She was loved by many, most of all her mom, sister, kids, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all. 

Donna was preceded in death by her grandparents: James and Callie Mize; dad, James Mason; stepfather, Philip Delong; husband, Sonny Joe Carabajal, and several Uncles and Aunts.

She is survived by her 4 children: Robert Mason (Natasha), Eric Carabajal (Tiana), Brandon Clark (Carla), and Audrianna Carabajal (Anthony); mother, Sharon Delong; sister, Sherry Jurney (Mike), brother, Paul Mason (Tammy), 9 grandchildren that she loved dearly: Gabe, Melissa, Skyler, Exzavier, Kloie, Nikolai, Neveah, Aaleyah and Gabriel Jr.; 1 Aunt Debbie Shirley (Jim) and many cousins; 2 nieces: Mia Jurney and Amanda Baker and 3 nephews: Philip Jurney, Michael Jurney and James Mason.
