Donna J. Adcock, 81, of Mt. View, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 at her home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 14, 2012, 2:00 PM, at First Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Bacon and Pastor Randy Land officiating.
Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Donna J. Adcock, also known as "Granny", "Snidge", "Tatter Bug" and "Squirrelly" was born July 13, 1930 in Wynot, Nebraska to Johnnie and Bessie (Konegni) Vosburg. They moved to Otis, NM and then to Dayton, NM. She attended school in Artesia. In 1945 the family moved to Arkansas. She graduated from high school in Danville, Arkansas. They moved back to New Mexico and settled in Carlsbad in 1951. Donna worked at Woolworth's for a short time. She and Albert "Sonny" Adcock were married on February 15, 1952. She was a homemaker and took pride in being a wife and mother. Donna enjoyed sewing, quilt making, gardening and cooking. She was an active member of First Baptist Church and a member of MAGIC - (Most Active Group in Church). She was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings.
Survivors are her husband, Albert "Sonny" Adcock of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Patti Davis and husband, Al of Clarksville, Arkansas; son, Alan Wayne Adcock and wife, Michelle of Albuquerque, NM; daughters: Linda and Danny of Carlsbad, NM and Paula Jean Townsend and husband, Jim of Artesia, NM; four-legged friends: Missy and PooCat; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Wayne VanWinkle, E. T. Holland, Henry Mall, Robert Owens, Doc West and Danny Enloe. Honorary pallbearers are Leon Wade, Wayne Ferris, Charlie Gray and Doc Brown.
