Donald L. Green, 74, of Westridge Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away September 18, 2010 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Visitation will be 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Graveside Service is scheduled for Thursday, September 23, 2010, 10:00 AM, at Prospect Cemetery in Emory, Texas. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Donald L. Green was born September 18, 1936 in Brownfield, TX to Lee M. and Ima E. (McTaggart) Green. He was a truck driver during all of his working years, working for Sears & Roebuck for many years and then became self-employed as a coast-to-coast truck driver. His greatest joy was being with his children and his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Green in 1989 and a sister, Jo King in 2008. Survivors include son, Terry D. Green and wife, Jayne of Salt Flat, TX; two daughters: Sheri Dorman and husband, Steve of Carlsbad, NM, Tina Landreth and husband, Tommy of Carlsbad, NM; five grandchildren: Amie Jo Green, Todd Wright, Kristal Allen, Joe Dorman and Jay Dorman; eight great-grandchildren: Raquel, Sydney, Kordell, Madison, Trevor, Marcquis, Gage and Brady; two brothers; three sisters and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
