Donal Boyd

Donal Roy Boyd, 75, of Cypress Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at his home. There will be no services. Cremation has taken place. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Donal Roy Boyd was born September 30, 1940 in Lamesa, TX to Edgar and Willie Mae Boyd. He graduated from CHS in 1959. Donal was a past member of the Elks Club. He loved wood working, camping, gardening. dancing, and fishing. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. Donal is preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Willie Boyd, Melvin and Truman Boyd, sisters: Edith Jowers and Mary Louise Dearing. Donal is survived by his wife, Janice Lee Boyd; daughters: Christine Lobato and husband, Luis of Carlsbad, NM, Sherry Lynn Hays and husband, Kenny of Carlsbad, NM, and Marsha Carole Dummer and husband, Brad of Midland, TX; brothers: Alton Boyd of Kentucky and Garry Boyd of Albuquerque, NM; sisters: Helen McBee of Carlsbad, NM, Dorris Harrison, Irene Holland of Buckhorn, NM, and Wanda Gallaway of Alamagordo, NM; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
