Don Lalo Fernandez

Don Lalo Fernandez, 75, of S. Third Street, Loving, New Mexico, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Tuesday, April 26, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Fr. Martin Cordero officiating. Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Don Lalo Fernandez was born February 26, 1941 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Bernardo and Refugio (Comacho) Fernandez. He came to the Loving-Carlsbad area 26 years ago working at different farms. He loved gambling, horse races and spending time with his family. Don Lalo was preceded in death by his grandson, Mateo Fernandez. Survivors are his wife, Rosa Maria Fernandez of Loving, NM; sons: Lalo Fernandez and wife, Angelica of Carlsbad, NM, Kiko Fernandez, Mario Fernandez and wife, Marcela, Diego Fernandez; daughters: Ivonne Fernandez de Rodriguez and husband, Isidro of Juarez, Mexico, Claudia Fernandez and Oliver Rocha of Saucillo, Mexico, Anabel Dominguez and husband, Jaime of Loivng, NM, Brenda Armendariz and husband, Rolando of Carlsbad, NM, Melissa Cervantes and husband, Alfonso of Jal, NM, Fatima Fernandez; 9 granddaughters and 8 grandsons.
