Obituary Dominga Minga Corona, 81, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on August 3, 2018. Visitation will be at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at San Jose Catholic Church. Prayer vigil will be at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at San Jose Catholic Church. Father Martin Cordero will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery (new section). Minga was born on December 20, 1936 in Presidio, TX to Gavino and Maria Carnero. Minga met the love of her life, Guadalupe Corona, Sr. on November 3, 1952. They entered marriage on December 16, 1954 in Carlsbad, NM and celebrated 63 years of marriage. Her joys were gardening, cooking for her family, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren. Minga was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Minga had a giving heart and was always willing to listen and give guidance to anyone who was in need. Minga was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Enedina Annie Garcia and daughter-in-law, Patricia Trish Corona. Minga was also preceded in death by her brothers, Refugio Carnero and Guadalupe Huereque; sisters, Elena Lara and Juanita Nava. Survivors include her spouse, Guadalupe Corona, Sr., sons: Guadalupe Corona, Jr., Armando Corona and wife, Sylvia, Robert Corona and wife, Liliana, Michael Corona and wife, Elaine; daughters: Emma Ramirez and husband, Ruben, Priscilla Corona and Pete Marquez. She is also survived by her brother, Frank Huereque. Minga had 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Guadalupe Corona, Jr., Armando Corona, Robert Corona, Michael Corona, Ruben Ramirez and Pete Marquez. Honorary Pallbearers will be all her grandchildren. The family would like give a special thanks to Golden Services Home Health and Hospice, especially Megan Lilley, Casey Vasquez, Samantha Flaco, Tish Chavarria and Sandra Florez. The family would also like to thank Father Martin Cordero of San Jose Catholic Church.
