Dolton "Windy" Winfield

Dolton "Windy" Winfield, 82, of North Elm Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at his home. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A Graveside service is scheduled for Friday, November 15, 2013, 10:00 AM, at Carlsbad Cemetery with Richard Selmon, son-in-law, officiating. Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Dolton "Windy" Winfield was born October 16, 1931 in Brown Springs, Arkansas to Loyd Imes and Alamedia (Daniels) Winfield. He was a mechanic at the mines. Dolton served in the Army. He was a caring father, "Pa" and lived a good life. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Genie Winfield and brother, James Winfield. Survivors are two daughters: Cynthia Selmon and husband, Richard of Colorado Springs, CO, Debbie Hargis and husband, Terry of Carlsbad, NM; son, Scott Winfield and wife, Cheryl of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Todd Selmon, Tonya Buchanan, Michael Hargis, Jonathan Winfield, William Winfield; and sister-in-law, Virginia Winfield of Malvern, Arkansas.
