Dolton "Windy" Winfield, 82, of North Elm Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at his home.
There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place.
A Graveside service is scheduled for Friday, November 15, 2013, 10:00 AM, at Carlsbad Cemetery with Richard Selmon, son-in-law, officiating.
Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Dolton "Windy" Winfield was born October 16, 1931 in Brown Springs, Arkansas to Loyd Imes and Alamedia (Daniels) Winfield. He was a mechanic at the mines. Dolton served in the Army. He was a caring father, "Pa" and lived a good life. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Genie Winfield and brother, James Winfield.
Survivors are two daughters: Cynthia Selmon and husband, Richard of Colorado Springs, CO, Debbie Hargis and husband, Terry of Carlsbad, NM; son, Scott Winfield and wife, Cheryl of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Todd Selmon, Tonya Buchanan, Michael Hargis, Jonathan Winfield, William Winfield; and sister-in-law, Virginia Winfield of Malvern, Arkansas.
