Dolores "Lola" Palomino Trevino, 69, of Westridge Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away September 24, 2009 at Landsun Homes. Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Sunday, September 27, 2009 A vigil is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2009, 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, September 28, 2009, 2:00 PM, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Father Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow at Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Dolores "Lola" Palomino Trevino was born May 1, 1940 in Malaga, NM to Jose and Maria (Barraza) Palomino. She attended school in Loving. Lola loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She also enjoyed outdoor parties, dancing and music, but most of all cooking for her boys. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Danny Trevino Survivors include children: Larry Palomino and wife, Elaine of Roswell, NM, Sandra Hernandez and husband, Jerry of Carlsbad, NM, Lupe Trevino and wife, Clara of Loving, NM, Frankie Trevino and wife, Patsy of Carlsbad, NM, Diana Coronado of Carlsbad, NM, Lorenzo Trevino and wife Margaret of Loving, NM, Joe Trevino and wife, Amanda of Otis, NM, Linda Patton and husband, Jason of Carlsbad, NM, Raymond Trevino and wife, Andie of Carlsbad, NM; 20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four brothers: Pete Palomino and wife, Carolyn of Carlsbsad, NM, Manuel Palomino and wife, Manuela of Loving, Juan Martinez and wife, Carmen of Loving, NM, Lupe Martinez of Salinas, CA.; one sister Chuey Ortega and husband, Benny of Carlsbad, NM, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Eric Hernandez, Jerry Martinez, Jr., Lupe Trevino, III, Corey Trevino, Roy Palomino and Jamie Coronado.
