Dolores Hester

Dolores Hester, 98, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025 at her home.

There will be a visitation Monday, April 21, 2025, 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2025, 10:00 AM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David W. Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery.

Dolores was born September 30, 1926 in Bloomfield, MO to William Henry and Mayme Ester (Douglas) Harris. She married Ray L. Hester December 29, 1945 in Piggott, AR. They moved to Carlsbad, NM in 1958. Ray and Dolores owned and operated Hester Refrigeration for 38 years before retiring. She enjoyed cross stitching, reading and crafts.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray L. Hester; brothers: Norman, Stanley and Weldon Harris and sister, Nelda Harris. She is survived by son, Danny Hester and wife, Ginny; son, Rick Hester and wife, Kandus; daughter, Sherra Hester; granddaughters: Hathaway Hester, Micaela Hester; grandsons: Jarrad Hester and wife, Fabiola, Trent Hester, Lee Kortsch and wife Sonja; great-grandchildren, Olivia Hester, Malcom Hester, Colbie Kortsch, Lee Kortsch and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Rick Hester, Danny Hester, Jarrad Hester, Trent Hester, Lee Kortsch.
