Dennis Looney, 43, former resident, passed away October 13, 2011 at his home in Surprise, Arizona.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Friday, October 21, 2011 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 22, 2011, 2:30 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John A. Burke officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park, Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Dennis Looney was born April 28, 1967 to Johnny and Barbara (Willis) Looney in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He attended Carlsbad Municipal Schools. Dennis married Brenda Barnes on March 28, 1985. He worked as a mason with his grandfather and uncle for several years. Dennis went to work in the oil field in the 90's. He and Brenda moved to Phoenix in 2001. Dennis was an excellent race car driver and enjoyed collecting antiques. He loved spending time with his grandson, Anthony and Dennis would do anything for him. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Survivors are his wife, Brenda Looney of Phoenix, AZ; three sons: Johnny Looney, David Looney, Kadence Looney all of Phoenix, Arizona; grandson, Anthony Looney; four brothers: Wil Willis of Carlsbad, NM, Todd Looney of Carlsbad, NM, Jeremiah Looney of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Steve Looney of Carlsbad, NM; two sisters: Amanda Looney of Carlsbad, NM, Adlie Looney of Carlsbad, NM and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Looney, David Looney, Wil Willis, Todd Looney, Steve Looney, Grant Willis, Phillip Abernathy and Waylon Stevens. Honorary pallbearers are Kadence Looney, Steven Standard and Anthony Looney.
