Debra Lynn Plumlee

Obituary Debra Lynn Plumlee was called home by the Lord on Thursday, December 3, 2020. She passed away at her home in Aztec, New Mexico. A memorial service celebrating Debbies life will be held at a later date due to Covid. Debbie was born on August 2, 1957 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Dorcus and Earl Sparks. She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1975. She married Sam Plumlee in 1976. Debbie loved to cook and spent much of her life serving and working in the food industry as a Chef. Her last years were spent cooking for a homeless shelter called Path in Aztec, New Mexico. She was passionate about animals and always found a way to nurture and care for them. Debbie loved gardening and plants seemed to thrive under her tender loving care.Debbie also enjoyed her many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Debbie is survived by her sisters, Paula Henry, Cynthia Gay, Laquita Johnson and Gina Reese. Also, one brother, Bill Hargrove and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Private interment will take place at Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.
