Deborah Ann Stensrud, 58, of Pueblo Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away January 3, 2011 at her home.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, January 6, 2011, 1:00 PM, at Carlsbad Family Fellowship with Pastor Rick Ketterling officiating.
Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Deborah Ann Stensrud was born January 9, 1952 in Wellington, TX to J. M. And Martha Ann (Duke) Strong. She graduated from Dalhart High School in 1970. Deborah later moved to Silver City with her former husband, Rick Heiskell and son, Jerry Don, where she started a career in banking. It was in Silver City that her first daughter, Sherry Lynn, was born. She moved to Carlsbad in 1978 and worked with United New Mexico Bank which later became Wells Fargo. Deborah married Wayne Allan Stensrud on December 6, 1986 in Cloudcroft. In 1989 she decided to home school her youngest two children, Zachary and Tirzah. Deborah returned to work in 2005 at Western Commerce Bank where she worked two years. She was a member of Christian Women's Club and served on the board. Deborah was also a member of Carlsbad Christian Home Educator's where she was past President. She enjoyed scrapbooking and exercising, but her greatest love was her Lord and being with her children. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Stensrud of Carlsbad, NM; four children: Jerry Don Heiskell and wife, Lorrain of Las Cruces, NM, Sherry Lynn Rainwater and husband, Lance of Carlsbad, NM, Zachary Wayne Stensrud of Carlsbad, NM, Tirzah Ann Stensrud of Carlsbad, NM; granddaughter, Kirsten Rainwater; brother, Joe Strong and wife, Debbie of Lubbock, TX.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Don Heiskell, Zachary Wayne Stensrud, Joe Strong, Lance Rainwater, Steve Davis, and Johnny Marrs. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Pressey and Rick Whiteley.
