Dawn Nix Methola

Dawn Nix Methola, 45, of Hueco Street, Carlsbad, NM passed away February 8, 2022 at Carlsbad Medical Center.  Cremation has taken place. A vigil will be held at 6:00 PM February 15, 2022 at Denton Wood Funeral Home Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM February 16, 2022 at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Interment will follow at Santa Catarina Cemetery.

Dawn was born December 9, 1976 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Billy and Christine (Nix) Methola.  She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1995.  Dawn enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.  She always looked forward to family birthday parties and family gatherings and going out to the river.  Dawn was the most kind, caring and loving soul there was.  She would give the shirt off her back to make sure you were going to be okay.  Dawn always welcomed anyone into her home no matter the circumstances.  She really enjoyed decorating for every holiday.  Dawn was preceded in death by her mother, Christine Methola.

Survivors are her son, Joshua Methola; daughter, Angelica Methola and Jacob Rodriguez; grandchildren: Jarron Methola, Jakobe Rodriguez and Kamrynn Rodriguez; father, Billy Methola; brother, Billy Methola, Jr. and wife, Clarissa; two nieces, a nephew and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Honorary pallbearers are Jarron Methola, Jakobe Rodriguez and Kamrynn Rodriguez.
