Obituary David W. Kidd, 67, of Salazar Road, passed away July 20, 2020 at his home. Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Church Street Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Ryan Nelson officiating. David was born September 12, 1952 in Hico, Texas to Wiley and Hazel Latrell (Cunningham) Kidd. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1971. David served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He then graduated college from Christ for the Nations with a degree in theology. David married Rhonda Williams October 17, 1986 in Carlsbad. He worked as a pumper until retiring in 2016. David enjoyed fishing, hunting and was proud to be a conservative American. He was known as a God-fearing family man. David was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors are his wife, Rhonda Kidd; children: Joseph Kidd and wife, Mami, Jacob Kidd and wife, Crystal, Aaron Kidd and wife, Monica, Charly Barnes and Laurie Wright and husband, Scott; grandchildren: Hannah Kidd, Emi Kidd, Liana Kidd, Brandon Kidd, Brian Kidd, JaLaynie Miller and husband, Isaiah, Luke Kidd, Libby Kidd, Jennedy Kidd, Callye Kidd, John Kidd, Jackson Kidd, Jaysen Barnes and Joshua Barnes; great-grandson, Carter Miller; sister, Rosemary Wilkie and husband, James; brothers: Lanny Kidd and wife, Doris, Tim Kidd and wife, Louise; and numerous nieces and nephews.
