David was their only son and filled their home with his mischievousness and playful humor. His twelve sisters loved to dote on their brother. He enjoyed playing with the boys next door, his Campos cousins.
David had five children: Catherine Ewing, Jacob Pedroza, Lilliana Pedroza, Rebecca Gutierrez, and Desirey Lindley.
David lived in many places throughout New Mexico and Texas. He moved back to Carlsbad in 2015. He returned to his childhood church, San Jose Catholic Church. David returned with a casual interest that quickly grew into a deep devotion to God. He attended all weekly services and eagerly wanted to serve. His faith, service and new spiritual family brought him the greatest joy. At church, David met the love of his life, Esmeralda Tovar. The two were married on February 20, 2021. David and Esmeralda worked together at San Jose Catholic Church. When they were not working, they enjoyed spending time worshiping together, traveling, and serving others. Esmeralda and David brought each other so much love and happiness.
Sadly, David passed away unexpectedly on February 27, 2024. He was followed in death by his wife, Esmeralda on May 24, 2024. David’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the San Jose Catholic Church family and Santiago and Brenda Garcia for their love and dedication during this difficult time.
