David MacLaskey

David Ralph MacLaskey has unfortunately departed from his family and friends on Earth on May 27th, 2023. Those close to him will miss him with each day that passes and cherish the time spent together. He was born in Putnam, Connecticut on December 7th, 1959 to Mildred Auclair and Paul MacLaskey, who have preceded him in death along with brother Lucien "Junior" Sabourin. David will be survived by son Jason MacLaskey, grandson Even Frechette, as well as sisters Melodie MacLaskey, Darlene Dearstyne, and Gail Candilliere; along with nieces Tina Gardner, Heather Meyers, Samantha Cuttone, LeeAnn Wilson, and Tracey Sabourin. David will also be survived by domestic partner and loved one Karen Duran.

David was a loose, free-spirited soul who was known for his large sense of humor and boisterous personality that left a strong impression on everybody he met across the adventures in his life. His family remembers him for being able to interact with anybody he met and lighten family gatherings with his jokes.

While he was known for his character, he was also known for his deep attachment to family members and friends that he had connected with; he frequently made attempts to help those he cared for and the less fortunate. Some of his individual passions included art, masonry and carpentry, reading, and his companion animals that he cared deeply for.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Carlsbad Cemetery.
