David "Jerry" Hall, 68, of Kiowa Drive, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Covenent Medical Center, Lubbock, Texas.
There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place.
A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, October 23, 2015 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Lance Redman and Pastor Brett Smith officiating.
Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
David "Jerry" Hall was born June 9, 1947 in Artesia, New Mexico to Henry and Thelma Irene (Slator) Hall. He was raised in Cottonwood and served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. David worked in the oil field many years as a pusher and driller. He had a great love for horses and has ridden many trails through the years. David also enjoyed going to auctions. He was a member of Day Spring Fellowship and life member of B.P.O.Elks Lodge # 1717 in Artesia. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors are his daughters: Lori Underwood and husband, David of Midland, Texas, Tina Lollis of Austin, Texas, Tammy Hall and Jodi Baldwin of Midland, Texas, Krystal Gutierrez and husband, Andy of Carlsbad, NM, Jerrie Besing and husband, John of Roswell, NM; grandchildren: Blaine Whittington and wife, Emma, Stephany Zafarano, Holly Zafarano, Jeremy Montoya, Brian Stinnett, Derricka Ramon and husband, Daniel, Zandra Gallegos, Austin Besing, Tyler Besing, Kerri Besing, Christopher Tavarez; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers: Tony Hall and wife, Loretta of Artesia, NM, Guy Evans of Redding, California, Thomas Hall of Rapid City, South Dakota and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers are his horse riding buddies.
