David Elizondo, 60, of W. Greene Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
There will be no visitation; cremation will take place.
A prayer service is scheduled for Thursday, January 28, 2016, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Martin Cordero officiating.
Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
David Elizondo was born January 15, 1956 in Carlsbad, NM, to Manuel M. and Helen (Terrazas) Elizondo. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1975. He went to work as a painter, working on his own and also with Van Jarvis Construction, Wilkie Painting and Murrillo Painting. David was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and he could climb anything. He was preceded in death by his father and daughter, Francine Elizondo.
Survivors are his mother, Helen Elizondo of Carlsbad, NM; sons: David R. Elizondo, Jeremy Elizondo, Patrick Elizondo, Daniel Moralez, Michael Ortiz; grandchildren: Kayden Spooner, David R. Elizondo, III, Gage Elizondo, Jovee Elizondo, Kross Elizondo, Easton Elizondo, Daniel Moralez, Jr., Yankee Moralez and Madelynn Ortiz; brothers: Frank Terrazas, Richard T. Elizondo, Kenneth Elizondo, Van Jarvis; sister, Kathleen T. Elizondo and numerous nieces and nephews.
