Daniel Spoon

Daniel Spoon, 25, of Dona Ana Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away July 30, 2012 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, August 3, 2012, 10:00 AM, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Wilson Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Daniel Spoon was born on February 5, 1987, in San Luis Obispo, California. He moved to Loving, NM in 1995, where he attended school. Daniel was currently working for Banister's Air Conditioning. He met the love of his life, Shannon Wilkinson and they were married June 3, 2012. Daniel cherished Jaron and Boo and never missed an opportunity to spend time with them. He will always be remembered for his big heart, quick wit and infectious personality. Daniel was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dwight Dunn. Survivors are his wife, Shannon Spoon of Carlsbad, NM; son, Jaron Alt of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Rebekah "Boo" Alt of Carlsbad, NM; mother, Marla Sally Duck of Loving, NM; three brothers: Mac Shane Dotson of Abilene, TX, Ben Spoon and wife, Teresa, and their children, Keisha and Josh of Lafayette, LA, Aaron Spoon of Riverside, CA; grandmother, J. Neatsy Dunn of Loving, NM and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Pallbearers are Michael Castro, Arturo Munoz, Jesse Granado, Biddys Ortega, Rueben Sosa and Wes Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be Mac Shane Dotson, Ben Spoon, Aaron Spoon, Jaron Alt and John Dunn.
