Dalton Putman

Dalton Zane Bobby Putman, age 24, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024. He was born August 22, 2000, in Carlsbad, NM. Dalton did many things in the short time he was given. He’s worked probably every job you can even think of, so maybe we shouldn’t read those off, but he tried. I’d like to say Dalton’s lived a million lives already. What has he not done?

Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Timothy Thacker officiating. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM.

He was most grateful for his mini me, Haven. That girl was his pride and joy. This was her world, and he just let her run it around for him. You definitely knew when the little boxers were together, always picking on everyone. He was doing better for his life, his girls, his family, and his mental health. He finally made amends with people he needed, and staying home. He was starting to be on the path his mama needed, even going to church.

Dalton was one of the funniest people you could meet. No matter how mad you got at him, he could make you smile, and make you say I love you before the end of the night. His laugh was just something to laugh at on its own. If you heard that boy cracking up, then you know. When big dog walked in the room, you definitely knew. The best thing about Dalton, was, he was 10 toes down behind his people. Needed a shoulder to cry on? He had you. Needed a smoke sesh? He had you. Needed someone to fight your battles? He HAD you. His loyalty was like no other. From his pretty blue ocean eyes to his goofy smile, to his mean mug, to his great BIG hugs. He came into this world fighting and left a fighter.

Dalton is proceeded in death… by his hero, his papa, Nelson Putman. His nana, Barbara Putman. His brother Hunter Quick… and many other family members.

Dalton is survived by his hardheaded mother, Michele Putman. The love of his life, and girlfriend, Arieana Ditmore. Their precious baby girl, Haven Putman, his siblings: Nikki Nino, Titus Nino and Koa Nino. He had many other siblings: Aurora Nino, Mikala Sanchez, Justin Burnside, Hannah Hendrix, and his second mom, Cori Sanchez. He has many friends and family members. Kourtney Taylor (daughter Rosie), Kristy Taylor, Chris Taylor, Dillan, and Carter. Friends like: Donavan, Grayson, Issac and Dario. He also had many friends and family in Arizona, like Destiny Stultz and Andrew Stultz. His mother-in-law Carrie Rivera, sister Tammy Cross, aunt Martha Chapman, and many many more.

Dalton will be very much missed; we love you D. Forever your world.
