Curtis Pratt

Curtis Pratt, 62, of N. Howard Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at his home. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, November 7, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John A. Burke officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Curtis Pratt was born May 30, 1954 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Charles and Ann (Banks) Pratt. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1972. Curtis worked in the potash mines for many years before retirement. He enjoyed fishing and antiques. Curtis was known to always be a very generous man. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors are his daughter, Crystal Pratt of Carlsbad, NM; grandsons: Joseph Tate and Wyatt Widener; siblings: Sheila Simer and husband, Doug, Sharron Brockman, Mark Pratt, Marcie Hill and husband, Mark and several nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers are Joseph Tate, Wyatt Widener, Scott Simer, Tommy Brockman, Gary Thacker, Tim Thacker, Michael Thacker, Kyle Hill and Jarred Pratt.
