Obituary Crystal Martinez, 26, of Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away April 17, 2018. Visitation will 4:00 PM 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A vigil is scheduled for 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, April 27, 2018 at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Martin Cordero officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Crystal Martinez was born April 19, 1991 in Carlsbad, NM. She loved her children very much and cherished the time spent with them. Crystal was an outgoing person and enjoyed dancing. She loved working with the residents at Landsun Homes. Crystal always made people smile and she will be greatly missed. Survivors are her son, Eddy Neamiah Najar, III of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Natalie Marie Najar of Carlsbad, NM; father, Salvador Martinez, Jr. of Carlsbad, NM; mother, Gloria Fierro of Carlsbad, NM; brothers: Mario J. Elias and wife, Cendeca of Carlsbad, NM and Andrew Gonzalez of Lubbock, Texas; grandparents: Oralia Estrada of Ontario, CA, Luis Estrada of Ontario, CA, Nila Reinhart of Carlsbad, NM, Thomas Saldana of Carlsbad, NM, Salvador Martinez, Sr. of Carlsbad, NM; great-grandmother, Elydia Melendarez of Carlsbad, NM and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Timothy Liddell, Mario J. Elias, Andrew Gonzalez, LeRoy Reinhart, Jose Juan Briones, Jr. and Carlos Medina.
