Crystal Lynn Chester, 58, of Milliron Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Covenant Medical Center, Lubbock, Texas.
There will be no vistation, cremation has taken place.
A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, April 5, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints with Bishop Boe Norton presiding.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Crystal Lynn Chester was born August 30, 1957 in El Paso, Texas to Leon and Patricia (Rucker) Worrell. She graduated from Andres High School, studied at Texas Tech on a gymnastics scholarship and later graduated from Jessie Lee's Hair Design Institute in Lubbock, Texas. Crystal moved to Carlsbad and married Tim Chester December 5, 1983. She worked at Terri and Co Hair Salon. Crystal was not just a stylist; she was a friend to all that walked through the door and always made sure they looked their best when she was finished. She was dedicated to her children and husband. Throughout the years, Crystal spent countless hours supporting Brooklyn and Grant in their rodeo endeavors. She enjoyed any outdoor activities with her family and friends. Crystal was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Corky Worrell.
Survivors are her husband, Tim Chester of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Brooklynn Chester of Carlsbad, NM; son, Grant Chester of Las Cruces, NM; sister, Debbie Thomas and husband, Carl of Carlsbad, NM and two nephews.
