Corliss Jane Hall, 66, of Sunnyview Avenue, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013 in Houston, Texas. Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, September 18, 2013, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Michael Joiner officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park, Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Corliss Jane Hall was born January 7, 1947 in Camden-On-Gauley, West Virginia to Oscar Miles and Jessie (Bender) Miles. In 1973 she married Dennis Hall. She loved to bowl. Corliss played with four different bowling teams placing first in a tournament in El Paso, TX. She enjoyed cooking, playing dominoes, crossword puzzles, playing on facebook and video games. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Carol Jean Shoup. Survivors are her husband, Dennis Hall of Carlsbad, NM; sons: Michael Miles and wife, Kathleen of Raceland, Louisiana, Scott Miles and wife, Katrina of Bridgman, Michigan; brother, Roy Miles and wife, Jeanette of Temple, Texas; sister, Kitty Evans of Sulpher Springs, Texas; brother, Roger Miles and wife Esther of Belen, New Mexico; 6 grandchildren: Scott Miles II, Brennan Miles, Paige Miles, Jessica Miles, Trent Miles, Joshua Martin; 2 great-grandchildren: Aiden Dorsey and Rebekah Martin. Pallbearers will be Gary Cantley, Ric Corder, Michael Miles, Brennan Miles, Trent Miles and Butch Ray. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
