Obituary Connie Hunt, 67, former resident, passed away July 23, 2019 at her home in Cloudcroft, NM. Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David W. Rogers officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Connie was born August 1, 1951 in Madison, West Virginia to Claudine and Laura (Leaman) Bailey. She attended Carlsbad High School. After graduation, Connie worked in Carlsbad for a short time. She met Reed Hunt in 1975 and they married in 1977. They moved to Albuquerque in 1981. Connie received her phlebotomy certificate and worked for 20 years before moving to Cloudcroft where she began her work with home health care. Shortly after, she ran the Treehouse Bed and Breakfast for 12 years before retiring. Connie enjoyed cooking and cleaning and sharing recipes. She loved dogs and the outdoors. Survivors are her husband, Reed Hunt; sister, Jeannie Gibson and mother, Laura Bailey.
