Obituary
Claude Harley Moffatt, 63, of Tower Road Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at home with his family. Claude was born on February 1, 1956, in Conneaut, Ohio to Claude and June Moffatt.
Having grown up in Ohio, Claude enjoyed the outdoors, going hunting and fishing, and going on family picnics and BBQs. Claude graduated from Conneaut High School in 1974, and then went to a small engine vocational school which started his passionate career of being a mechanic and machinist. Later, Claude met and married the love of his life, Tammie Miller, in 1985. He had always been a car guy, fixing them, and riding motorcycles. He also enjoyed reading science books, building bird houses, watching Nascar and drag races, watching baseball and was a Cleveland Indians fan, gardening, and he always loved learning new things. Claude was a kind and caring person, and loved spending quality time with his friends and family. He will be missed and remembered always.
Claude was preceded in death by his father, Claude Harley Moffatt; and mother, June W. (Cox) Moffatt.
Claude is survived by his wife, Tammie Moffatt of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Tonia Elms and husband, Aaron of Beaumont, TX; daughter, Camryn Moffatt of Carlsbad, NM; three grandchildren: Hunter, Wyatt, and Salelym; sister, Karen Moffatt of Ohio; sister, Kathy Stanley of Ohio; sister, Claudette Connors and husband, Larry of Tennessee; sister, June Moffatt and husband, Joe of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Fox and Lake Church of Christ. Denton Wood Funeral Home is charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com
