Claude H. Kaylor, 86, of East London Road, Loving, New Mexico, passed away January 17, 2011 at Lakeview Christian Home.
There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, January 29, 2011, 1:00 PM, at Carlsbad English Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses officiating a Congregational Elder Dean Cruse.
A private interment was held in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Claude H. Kaylor was born March 26, 1924 in Bowdon, Georgia, to Claude and Eunice (Wilson) Kaylor, Sr. He attended school in Carrolton, Georgia. While he was still young, Claude started work after his father died to help his mother. He worked in farming, an aircraft factory, CCC Camp and a bakery. Claude married Margaree Mosier on November 18, 1944 in Smyrna, Georgia. They moved to Carlsbad in 1952 where Claude started work in the potash mines. He worked for Duvall 29 years. Claude enjoyed fishing, hiking and bicycling. He was a long time member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
He is survived by his wife, Margaree Kaylor of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Janice Shugart and husband, Roy of Loving, NM; son, Dale Kaylor and wife, Tammy of Loving, NM; two grandchildren: Allen Shugart, Cary Kaylor and great-grandson, Tate Shugart.
