Claude "Dale" Kaylor, 74, of Loving, NM passed away in Lubbock, TX on February 28, 2023. There will be no visitation. Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, March 18, 2023, 2:00 PM, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3301 S. Canal St, Carlsbad NM 88220 with Elder Roque Soltero officiating. Cremation has taken place and no burial services have been planned at this time. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is overseeing arrangements.
Dale was born on June 28, 1948, in Atlanta, GA to Claude H. and Margaree Kaylor. His family moved to Carlsbad, NM when he was 2 years old. Dale grew up in Carlsbad, NM where he met and married his beloved wife, Tammy of 54 years. They were married on September 21, 1968. They had one son, Cary Kaylor.
Dale was one of Jehovah's Witnesses, where he served as a Congregation Elder for over 30 years. Dale especially loved being active in the public full time ministry work and teaching individuals about Bible truths. Dale worked as a Potash Miner in the Carlsbad area for over 40 years until retiring from Mosaic Potash in 2011. Dale enjoyed traveling with his wife and fishing in the ocean. Dale also loved spending time with his friends and family, and especially making memories with his "Grand-Chosen's". He will be missed dearly.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, sister Janice Shugart, and brother-in-law Roy Shugart.
Dale is survived by his wife, Tammy Kaylor of Loving, NM: son, Cary and wife, Rachel Kaylor and their daughter and their two grandsons of Albuquerque, NM; nephew, Allen Shugart of Carlsbad, NM; great-nephew, Tate Shugart of Carlsbad, NM; brother-in-law, Don Sexton; and "adoptive son" Roy and wife, Beatrice Armendarez and Family of Carlsbad, NM.
