Clarence F. Rogge, 97, of Carlsbad, NM passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022. Clarence was born on October 19, 1924, to Fred and Clara Rogge in Safford Arizona. He was the youngest of 4 boys.

There will be no visitation, and cremation has taken place. A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Happy Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Davis officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He graduated from Clifton High in 1942 in Clifton Arizona. He moved to Carlsbad in 1949 and was in the grocery business for 7 years before going into the Insurance business. He worked for Prudential for 20 years, and then sold insurance through Briggs-Rogge agency for an additional18 years until his retirement.


He was a Deacon and song director at Happy Valley Baptist Church raising his daughters in a Christian home and environment. He always read his Bible and Prayed in the mornings before starting his day. He left his daughters the greatest gift of all by introducing and leading each one of them to Jesus.

He married the love of his life, Patricia Hansen in 1976 and soon became a member of Blodgett Street Baptist Church where he has attended and served for more than 43 years.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Fred Rogge; mother, Clara Rogge; three brothers: Leslie Rogge, Leroy Rogge, and Walter Rogge; and great-grandson, Kayde Chester.

He is survived by his daughters Debra Huff of Midland, TX; Vickie Estrada and husband, Leo of Carlsbad, NM; and Pamie Pryor and husband, Rusty of Carlsbad, NM; seven grandchildren: Arron Asbury (Bri), Dondee Groves (Kenny), Josh Asbury (Laura), Amy Montejano (Sonny), Lyndi Owens (Justin), Jeana Summers (Jerrod), and Matthew Pryor; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Lakeview Christian Home for all the wonderful care given to Clarence and Pat throughout their many years there. As well as to Goodlife, for the special love they have shown their Daddy and entire family during his last three days. And then finally, a special thanks to Lakeview Hospice for their special care, and kindness shown to Clarence. God bless you all.
