Clarence Harman, Jr., 83, of Solana Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Friday, March 9, 2012 at Covenant Specialty Hospital in Lubbock, Texas.
There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, March 17, 2012, 1:30 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Travis Hustead officiating.
Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Clarence Harman, Jr. was born June 17, 1928 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Clarence and Ethel (Courtney) Harman, Sr. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, building bases and infrastructure. Clarence married Sue Harman on December 19, 1958 in Artesia, NM. He worked in the potash mines for 41 years. Clarence enjoyed working in his yard, fishing and hunting. He also loved spending time with his dogs, J.J. and Walley. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary "Sue" Harman in 2010; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Shipley Harman and four sisters.
He is survived by his son, Brian Wray Harman and wife, Michelle of Artesia, NM; daughter, Alyssa Dawn Lujan of Capitan, NM; son, David Lujan of Capitan, NM; six grandchildren: Nikki Harman, McKamye Harman, Kyle Shannon, Lorri Harman, Joshua Harman, Carri Harman and Buddy Harman; four great-grandchildren: Braden Harman, Alyson Faye Reagan, Sadie Elizabeth Reagan, Isabelle Bryant; two brothers: Charlie Harman of Lubbock, TX, Jimmy Harman of Lubbock, TX; five sisters: Annabelle Bostick of Roswell, NM, Bertha Allen of Roswell, NM, Mabel Lard of Roswell, NM, Shirley Murray of Roswell, NM, Reba Pearson of McAlister, OK and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers are Chad Harman, Ben Ortega, Terry Wilson, Lynne Cobble and Wade Gilliam.
