Clara Calderon Trevino

Clara Calderon Trevino, 58, of S. 6^th Street, Loving, NM, passed away Friday, October 7, 2022 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home followed by a vigil at 6:00 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating.  Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, NM.

Clara was born February 14, 1964 in Carlsbad, NM to Felix and Juana (Armendarez) Calderon. She was raised on the family farm in Malaga, and much like the rest of her family, she was a hard worker all her life.  Clara married Lupito Trevino and together they had two sons, Lupito and Brian. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.  Clara was a trucker’s wife and enjoyed making memories on the many road trips with her husband.  Clara loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all who love her.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents: Felix and Juana Calderon; two brothers: Ricardo Calderon and Edward Calderon, Sr.

Clara is survived by her husband, Lupito Trevino of Loving, NM; two sons: Lupito Trevino and wife, Diana of Carlsbad, NM; and Brian Trevino of Loving, NM; grandchildren: Zachary, Caleb, Mariah, Bennita and Corey; sisters: Carol Rodriguez and husband, Bobby, Sally Lujan, Celia Calderon and Sergio Garcia, Celma Rios and husband, Efrain, Carrie Palomino and husband, Roy, Cathy Calderon and Greg Brewer; brothers: Felix Calderon and wife, Debra, Ben Calderon, Joe Calderon and wife, Grace, David Calderon and wife, Terry, Roy Calderon, Dan Calderon and wife, Yolanda, Dick Calderon and wife, Monica, and Ronnie Calderon and wife, Ginger; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be her brothers: Felix, Ben, Joe, David, Roy, Dan, Dick and Ronnie Calderon.
