Christine Renee Methola

Christine Methola, 58, of S. Mesquite Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at her home. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A vigil is scheduled for Thursday, February 18, 2016, 7:30 PM at St. Edward Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Friday, February 19, 2016, 2:00 PM, at St. Edward Catholic Church with Fr. Pasala Hruday Kumar officiating. Interment will follow in Santa Catarina Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Christine Methola was born November 29, 1957 in Telluride, Colorado to Robert and Neva (Penasa) Nix. She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1976. Christine married Billy Methola here in Carlsbad July 6, 1985. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Christine enjoyed listening to Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley and cooking for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors are her husband, Billy Methola of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Dawn Methola; son, Billy Methola and Clarissa; grandchildren: Joshua Methola and Alexis, Angelica Methola, Nathan Methola, Audrey Methola and Andrea Methola; brother, Jerry Nix and numerous nieces and nephews; friends, Debra Jewett and Jean Barnes. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Methola, Billy Methola, Amanda Methola, Russell Methola, Ray "Nuni" Methola, John John Methola, Jimbo Huerta, Matthew Methola and Patrick Methola.
