Chessa L. McGee Aguilar

Chessa L. McGee Aguilar, 44, of N. Edward Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at her home. Visitation will be 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Friday, December 11, 2015 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Cremation will follow and private burial will take place at a later date. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Chessa L. McGee Aguilar was born October 15, 1971 to James T. McGee and Janice L. McGee Mashaw in Carlsbad, NM where she was raised. She attended and graduated from Carlsbad High School. Chessa made a huge impact on many people's lives with a huge heart and great attitude. She was a great daughter, sister and mother of three beautiful kids, James N. Aguilar, Paige Aguilar and Tailyn Aguilar. She was also a wonderful grandmother of 3 granddaughters. Her life may have seemed short lived but she lived a very full life full of happiness, joy and with the heart of a servant. Chessa was preceded in death by her father, James T. McGee; grandparents: Ed and Mildred Terry and Clyde and Empress McGee. Chessa is survived by her mother, Janice McGee Mashaw; brothers, Nathan and Patsy McGee, Jason and Heather McGee; son, James and Kayla Aguilar; daughters: Paige and Tailyn Aguilar; granddaughters: Ella Gill, Brooklynn Aguilar and Aria Johnson and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces.
