Chelo V. Salcido

Chelo V. Salcido, 58, of San Jose Blvd., Carlsbad, NM, passed away September 10, 2022 at his home. Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.  Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Cross Church International with Pastor Roosevelt Armendariz officiating.  Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.  
Chelo was born September 15, 1963 in Carlsbad, NM to Anastacio and Eva (Venegas) Salcido.  He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1981.  Chelo worked at Oasis Church and most recently for the City of Carlsbad.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family but most of all Chelo loved taking special care of his mom.  He was preceded in death by his father, Anastacio “Chelo” Salcido; brother, Oscar Salcido and sister, Rachel Salcido.
Survivors are his mother, Eva Salcido; siblings: Mary Molinar and husband, Raymond, Raul Salcido and wife, Nelda, Rose Ann Schmidt and husband, Bob; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Bob Schmidt, Raul Salcido, Delfin Mata, Raymond Molinar, Jeremy Molinar and Jason Granger.  Honorary pallbearer is Lance.
