Charles W. Duncan, Sr., 78, of East Cedar Street, Loving, New Mexico, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 at his home.
There will be no visitation; cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, August 16, 2014, 12:00 PM, at Loving Baptist Church with Pastor Zack Palen officiating.
Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Charles W. Duncan, Sr. was born May 11, 1936 in Macomb, Illinois to William Arthur and Iva Opal (Bowes) Duncan. He married Georgia Cline August 10, 1956 in Bernalillo, NM. Charles began his long time career in construction working throughout New Mexico. He began work with Constructors, Inc. in 1977 and moved to Loving soon after. Charles retired from Constructors, Inc. after 33 years of service. He loved spending time with his family and was always there for them. Charles was a diehard Cowboys fan and long time and devoted member of the Loving Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, William Duncan; mother, Opal Moore; step-father, Grover C. Moore; sons: Charles W. Duncan, Jr. and Robert Jack Duncan.
Survivors are his wife, Georgia Duncan of Loving, NM; children: Carl Duncan of Loving, NM, Susan Duncan of Carlsbad, NM, T. J. Duncan and wife, April of Loving, NM; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; step-sisters: Carol Yrisarri and husband, Ed, Janie Lake and husband, Rex; brother-in-law, Tom Cline and wife, Sharon; sister-in-law, Patsy Batts and husband, Cecil and numerous nieces and nephews.
