Charles Calvin Reed

Charles Calvin Reed, 42, of Roundup, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014, at his home. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, January 11, 2014, 10:00 AM, at Sunset Church of Christ with Brian McGonagill officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Charles Calvin Reed was born on September 20, 1971, in Brevard Co., Florida. On April 5, 2003, he married Lisa Burton in Carlsbad, NM. Charles worked various areas of the oilfield. He loved to BBQ and to cook. Charles liked muscle cars and motorcycles. He was a member of Sunset Church of Christ. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Sarah O'Daniel and sister, Tina Grier. Survivors are his wife, Lisa Reed of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Shyra Wyatt and husband, Justin of Carlsbad, NM; sons: Charles Reed, II of Carlsbad, NM and Tyler Reed of Carlsbad, NM; stepson: Anthony Lopez and wife, Joselyn of Carlsbad, NM; stepdaughter, Ashley Lopez and Gabriel of Midland, Texas; five grandchildren; brother, Brian Steffey and spouse, Zeren of New York, NY; and nephew, Nathan Grier and wife, Dena of Florida.
