Charles A. "Charlie" Disney, 74, of N. Canal Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 at The Goodlife.
There will be no visitation, cremation will take place.
A Memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, 2014, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Elio Barrios officiating.
Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Charles A. "Charlie" Disney was born August 12, 1939 in Huntsville, Arkansas to Jasper Allen and Pauline Margaret (Bensing) Disney. He graduated from Hobbs High School in 1959. Charlie attended NMSU in Las Cruces. He worked across New Mexico and Arizona with grocery store chains for 41 years. Charlie served in the US Army. He loved the Denver Broncos, Phoenix Suns and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Charlie enjoyed the outdoors including hunting, camping and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wayne Allen Disney.
Survivors are two daughters: Monica Maj and husband, Ed of Hudson, CO, Kristy Capes and husband, Pete of Connestoga, CO; two grandsons: Justin Capes, Dylan Capes; granddaughter, Staci Maj; five sisters: Paula Sebesta, Wanda Boles, Dawna Freeman, Wilma Smith and Beth Lynch and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends,
