Charles A. Wooldridge

Charles A. Wooldridge, 67, of Oregon Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Per his wishes, cremation will take place and memorial services will be held at a later date. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Charles A. Wooldridge was born on January 6, 1945, in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Robert Hershel and Evelyn Blanche (Hammond) Wooldridge. He joined the U.S. Army when he was 18, in Wichita, Kansas. He served honorably for more than 38 years - four terms in Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraq and Afghanistan. Upon retirement from his military career, Charles returned to Carlsbad. He enjoyed his mornings at McDonald's and frequenting The Trinity and Post Time. Survivors are his sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Tommy Cureton of Carlsbad, NM; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and extended family members.
