She worked for several years as a human resource specialist for Eddy County, and then began working for Cimarex. She then worked for Vanessa Green’s medical office. She loved baking and designing cakes, and used her talents to express her artistic nature as well as a side business. Dessert was her favorite part of any meal. She will be remembered for her loving nature, strong will, determination, and decision-making abilities. Chaney will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Chaney was survived by her fiancé, Jeff Clifton of Carlsbad, NM; two daughters: Corbyn Schoenherr and Kaylie Schoenherr, both of Carlsbad, NM; parents, William and Judy Jensen of Carlsbad, NM; three siblings: Justin Jensen of Stroudsburg, PA; Shelsey Polito of Artesia, NM; Davin Jensen and wife, Jazmin of Carlsbad, NM; eight nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
